Riddle Dee Dee

Today’s challenge is an Anglo-Saxon Riddle. This is my attempt.

Split in two I am divided to bright light and heat
Testing or starting defences to the unknown
The schism of nations on how to settle an argument
Results in a people broken torn apart and to pieces
A land devoid of life nature shrivelled in toxin
Why this choice is made by the power of one man?
Scientific dilemma of progress or destruction with knowledge

  1. I would love it if you’d add this poem or the link as a comment on my number poem: https://unassortedstories.wordpress.com/2018/10/29/i-is-a-number-im-not/

If you add that I asked/invited/pleaded you to share it, readers will know that I endorse your poem (which basically means I want them to read it too). I could reblog, but somehow I have the feeling the two of them (yours and mine) work best on the same page.

    Fabulous poem.
