Unaccepting

I see it in your eyes, the furrows of your brow
I see it in the whispered words behind your hand
Unconventional and different makes you uncomfortable
So instead you try to make me feel the same
With the judgement of unacceptable appearance
You cast me out of your normal society
Turned into a leper of uniqueness by your ignorance
But in my solitude I grow brighter
Because I am happy in my own company
No need to be fake and full of pretence
I get to be me in all my glory
I have also found a tribe who accept me exactly this way
