Nature Ignored

Difficult to find the soul behind the luxury
Ostentatious displays hide the person
These for whom the tree is simply furniture
And earth the foundation to their mansion
For whom Mother Nature’s bounty
Is only good enough to provide the gold
That everything is wrapped in
Pity those who cannot see beauty in the grass
The weeds and the blue sky
Because it is not man-made
