Dear fisherman
I sit here on the rocks of the seashore
Your place of work
Amongst the filth and rubbish
Of plastic bags and empty boxes of bait
You left behind on your last visit
I cannot understand why you choose to strangle
The very creatures that you eat and sell
As for the broken bottles in the crevices
From all that you imbibed
Beautiful as the sea may shape them
They do very little good when jaggedly sticking from a foot
I conjure you to please return with you
All man-made junk that you brought here with you
While you take that which the sea has to offer
Leave only temporary footprints in its sand

Well put. I totally agree, but where I go it is the tourists not the fisherman, the fisherman are usually very respectful of the area where land their catch.

I guess it is a variety of people, but having just left the sea where fishermen were so disrespectful and disgusting, I had to vent.

Understandable. We should all be careful with our environment.
