Work Required

There are many of us who would like to bypass the work required to achieve things – especially in these days of instant gratitude – but we would miss important growth. I would love to just be a writer, but without English lessons at school, I wouldn’t know how to construct a sentence. Loopholes are great things, until they are not and everything comes crashing down, because we missed something in the process. Hacking and bypassing the system isn’t always going to be great, even if it saves you time. Some things require that time to grow, develop and mature to greatness.

A crack in the perfectly built wall
Soil and cement unbinding, falling
Light through the fracture more
A loophole to the required climb
Chiseled and splintered to fit
Bypass exertion for this enterprise
Beware the inevitable crumble
When comes the collapse of the wall
