Meditation Practice

Breath slowing, deepening, calming
Taking in just a little more than before
Letting out all that you can
Concentrating on an automatic action
Turning it to a conscious practice
Improving it to reap the benefits
Drifting further from the ground
Further from the physical being
A temporary reprieve from the mind
From overpowering thoughts
Bidding them well as they rise up
Sending them on their way
Without judgement nor focus
Daily ritual of finding peace
Conversing with your inner soul
