Trust Thief

I believed in the good of people
Never looking for the ulterior motive
Perhaps the innocence of childhood
A naivety to that which is sour and sore
You taught me the other way
Pillaged my heart and mind of trust
Replaced by suspicion and doubt
A lesson my spirit endevours to adjust

  1. I know this feeling and it sucks so much. It sucks to see the world in a different, darker light even if you don’t want to. Sometimes you try to see things positively but the fear of experiencing the pain again will creep up in the back your mind… I dont know if that makes sense, but that’s how it was with me.. 😥
