Water

You are a blue pond on a clear and sunny day

A grey pool on a cloudy overcast sky

We slip into your cool, refreshing waiting envelope on a hot summers day

And relax in your warm, comforting arms on a winters eve

We open a tap or a bottle to enjoy your hydrating touch on our lips

But alas we squander you by drips and gushes

Colour rinses of toxic proportion are added to your stream

And I shed your salty cousin when I think of the coming time

When my life will end in pain and agony

For there is no longer any clean and healthy part of you

To help sustain my human life.
